TBP GIVES (AND RECEIVES!) LOTS OF HOMETOWN LOVE IN GREENEVILLE, TN…October 13, 2010
The Band Perry is a family band from the close-knit community of Greeneville TN. They traveled home yesterday, on the last weekend before their debut album release, to give a free public performance to say “thanks” for the town’s support throughout the years.
The Perry siblings started out the day just happy to be home, but as the day unfolded Kimberly, Neil and Reid realized that they were the ones being treated to something special. First, The Band Perry was humbled and elated by the town’s turn-out over 5,000 people showed up for the festivities held in historic downtown Greeneville. Next they were honored by the announcement that Greene County had declared the week of October 10th “The Band Perry Week.”
“The well-wishes and congratulations were so special to us we feel like we’re going into this exciting week with a special care-package of love and support from home,” said Kimberly Perry.
The Band Perry gave a special five-song acoustic performance and stayed for over four hours to sign autographs and chat with their hometown supporters.
The CMA-nominated band will release their self-titled debut album, THE BAND PERRY on Tuesday, October 12, featuring the Gold-certified single, “If I Die Young” and the Top Twenty hit, “Hip To My Heart.”
