So what are you in the mood for? EDM? Electro pop? Club bangers? Indie rock or maybe all of the above and more. This week Republic Records has a little somethin for pretty much everyone. Well, ok, there’s no Dixieland swing but other than that? Dig in.
Enrique Iglesias is back and he wants you to “Turn the Night Up”, which, as luck would have it, is also the name of his single off his forthcoming album. Another hot and sexy man is Jay Sean. Neon, the Cash Money Millionaire’s sophomore joint is damn sure going to light up the charts. Speaking of Cash Money; the multi -talented Kevin Rudolf’s “Here’s to Us’ is a raise your glass in the air anthem that Idolator calls “uplifting”.
Rolling Waves, the new album from NZ’s The Naked and Famous (both excellent attributes), is ready for pre-order. The first single “Hearts Like Ours” is awash in shimmery synths, pristine vocals and pure emotion. The Colourist’s “Little Games” is the sort of jagged little pop that fans have come to expect from this exciting group. Another treat comes from Aston Shuffle’s “Can’t Stop Now”. With a title like that you know the song is going to have power and passion; and it does.
Owl City puts a new spin on their 4th album The Midsummer Station with The Mid Summer Station Acoustic EP. On a whole nother tip, EDM star TyDi ‘s “Something About You” gives you body while Avicii (ft Wailin) “X-You (Vocal Version)” reinforces why he’s the kid of the clubs. Rounding the week out is LA singer-songwriter Jayme Dee. She’s little bit flirty, a little bit feisty and Broken Record EP is a whole lotta something you gotta check out.
