Republic Records had a huge night at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards, broadcast live from New York City.

Republic owned the VMA pre-show. Austin Mahone gave a powerhouse performance of his current hit, “What About Love:”
And Ariana Grande brought the house down with her medley of “Baby I” and “The Way:”
Speaking of performances, Drake melded together “Hold On, We’re Going Home” and “Started From the Bottom” into one of the most talked about performances of the evening:
And then, there were the awards themselves. Thanks to all the #FirstFans and Mahomies, Austin Mahone took home the VMA for “Artist to Watch.”
And to top off the night, Taylor Swift took home the moon man for “Best Female Video:”
